Local Amphibians and Stormwater

Chat with an Expert: Local Amphibians and Stormwater

Watch this webinar to learn about our native amphibians with experts Laura Guderyahn and Katie Holzer. They discuss actions you can take at home to help amphibians both in our backyards and our stormwater facilities. A mixture of presentations, video (of critters!), and “chatting” with the experts.

Our Presenters:

Laura Guderyahn is a Natural Area Ecologist with the City of Portland where she actively works to improve the value and function of 19 natural areas in the Portland Parks system. She has a Masters in Biology and has spent the last 15yrs working to understand the unique constraints and dynamic pressures of the urban environment and how to protect and conserve amphibians and reptiles within the urban growth boundary.

Katie Holzer is a Watershed Scientist with the City of Gresham where she conducts studies on stormwater pollutants. She has a Ph.D. in Ecology where she focused her studies on amphibian habitats in urban and agricultural areas in the Pacific Northwest.

We welcome feedback on the presentation.
