Owning a farm or managing land is hard enough without having to find the tools to do it. Clark Conservation District offers equipment rentals for Clark County residents to help you get the job done.
Large Equipment
Manure Spreader - Closed for the Season
Clark Conservation District has a manure spreader available to loan to Clark County residents. The spreader comes on a trailer with an electric winch. It can hold 56 cubic feet of manure.
Operation Requirements: 18 HP or larger garden tractor or any vehicle at least 1,200 lbs. with a 2" ball hitch and 4-prong flat light connector.

Poultry Processing Equipment
Clark Conservation District has poultry processing equipment available to loan to Clark County residents. The equipment comes loaded in a small box trailer with everything from a scalder to a plucker. It weighs approximately 1,500 lbs.
Operation Requirements: Vehicle with a 2" ball hitch and a 4-prong flat light connector for towing.
Rental Fee: $150
Refundable Deposit: $150
Availability: Year-round, can be reserved up to 6 months in advance.
Additional sanitization procedures are required by renters and performed by CCD staff between reservations to help minimize the risk of transmission of the avian flu.
No-Till Drill - Closed for the Season
Clark Conservation District now has a Land Pride 606NT tow-behind no-till drill available for rent. The no-till drill has small, native, and standard seed boxes to accommodate a variety of seeds. A tailing vehicle is required during transport, with both vehicles driving below 45 mph and avoiding major highways.

Small Tools
Please fill out the form to a request a small tool and rental time. All tools are available for Thursday-Thursday rental periods. Tool rental requires a refundable deposit. The weed wrench deposit is $50 and all other tools are $25. One of our staff will follow up to confirm tool availability and pick-up and drop-off times.
Weed Wrench
Clark Conservation District has a weed wrench that is available to borrow to tackle small trees and other unwanted, woody plants. Weed wrenches are fun and easy to use, and only minimally disturb the soil. The wrench can handle stems up to 2.25" in diameter.

Pole Saw
The pole saw is made for trimming larger branches that are outside of arm’s reach. The pole saw has a reach of up to 14' and can cut branches up to 8" in diameter. There is also an attached pruning blade that can cut branches up to 1" in diameter.

Loppers
Loppers trim twigs or smaller branches. The loppers are available in two sizes; the larger can cut branches up to 3" in diameter and the small can cut up to 2" in diameter. Two of each size are available to rent.

Sharpshooter
Small
Sharpshooters are shovels that open a deep narrow hole and are ideal for planting and transplanting plants and bulbs with minimal soil disturbance. Two sharpshooters are available to rent.

Hand Saw
Hand saws are used to cut larger branches that are withing hand’s reach. The saws are folding and there are two hand saws available to rent.

Soil Probe
Soil probes are used to collect soil core samples for analysis of fields, gardens, forests, and more. The probes cut a 5/8" x 12" soil core and feature a built-in foot step for additional down pressure while sampling. Three probes are available to rent.
